Jenelsie's Corner (#243)

Dear Grace and Truth Family,
Unto our Lord we can say together on this day:
Bless the Lord, o my soul and all that is within me (HIS SPIRIT), bless His Holy Name.
Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all His benefits
Who (our Lord) forgives all our iniquities; who heals us of all our diseases;
Who redeemed our life from destruction; who crowned us with lovingkindness and tender mercies.
We are not of them who draw back unto perdition, but we of them who believe to the saving of the soul!  HE is able to save us to the uttermost that come unto HIM by Christ Jesus.
Hallelujah!
Your sister,

O My Soul: A Prelude

Speaking further to the “rest” promised to the soul, that would respond to His drawing; the Lord began afresh to make real what He is doing IN us.
[Matt 11:28-30]
We were reminded that His “rest” is a finished activity, being actualized (by His Spirit; the administrative agent, of the Godhead).
[Pastor]
Man was made “a living soul” that he might learn to “know” the refreshing of the “rest;” by becoming a partaker of the divine nature of the Lord, Jesus Christ (the tree of life).
[Gen 2:7; Matt 11:29; 2 Pet 1:4; Jn 15:4-6]
The soul is the center of our mind, will and emotions, veiled in a body of flesh; that serves to cloud our spiritual viewpoint. This provoked the apostle Paul to pray that “the eyes of our (spiritual) understanding would be enlightened ...that we might know the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward.”
Ultimately, the “rest,” the refreshing, of the soul comes from the outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord. “Thus saith the Lord that made thee ...which will help thee ...I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring: they shall thrive (be fruitful) like watered grass.”
[Isa 44:1-4]
ThenSingsMySoul:

MY SOUL LONGS FOR YOU, MY SOUL LONGS FOR YOU
NOTHIN' ELSE WILL DO, NOTHIN' ELSE WILL DO.
(repeat)
I BELIEVE YOU WILL COME LIKE THE RAIN …
YOU'LL COME LIKE THE RAIN.
SO LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN …
HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! YOU MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.
