No Doubt About It

The “soul” is the residence of the “mind,” “will,” and “emotions,”… and the “mind” (the “Stronghold Of Doubt”) is a battlefield, suitable for combat (a turf worth fighting for).
Thanks be to God, that the “weapons of our warfare are not carnal (fleshly), but mighty through (the Spirit of) God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God” (through the revelation of Jesus Christ).
[2 Cor 10:4]
And, further thanks is due to the knowledge that “The battle is not (our's), but (the Lord's).” The Holy Ghost is our advocate/helper; through Christ, as the doorkeeper of our “mind.”
[2 Chron 20:15]

So, while the “law” (through the flesh) is our chief temptation;  the “faith” of the Son (through the Spirit) is our sole liberty.
[Rom 8:1-4]

As “heirs, and joint heirs with Christ;”our “soul” (ie. mind, will, and emotions) needs a govenor, and tutor (manager); until we have been perfected. And the Spirit is that manager.
[Rom 8:17; Gal 4:1-2]
ThenSingsMySoul:

HAVE FAITH IN GOD,
HAVE FAITH IN GOD;
HAVE FAITH IN GOD,
HAVE FAITH, HAVE FAITH, IN GOD!
[Mk 11:22]

Jenelsie's Corner (#211)

Dear Grace and Truth,

Blessings to you from our Father and the Lord Jesus!  Another year has past, and we remember the faithfulness of our covenant-keeping God.  Everything that we experienced since our last celebration was in His plan.  According to His purpose, all things worked together for good.  Who has separated us from the love of Christ which we have and know today?  Did our tribulation throughout the year separate us?  Did our distress?  Persecution (whatever we thought this meant)?  Famine (our lack of)?  Nakedness (our shame)?  Peril (our dangers)?  The sword?  This is my testimony:  OUR GOD IS WITH US!  Death, sickness, principalities, powers, things from the past, things in the present—NONE of these things separated us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Hallelujah!

Jenelsie's Corner (#210)

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  This grace which has been given to us by Father God through the Lord Jesus is a marvelous thing!  God Almighty has come to us; we don’t have to strive to get to HIM.  HE is present with us moment by moment because HIS SPIRIT resides in us.  HE has brought us into a covenant relationship with HIM through the blood of Christ Jesus; we don’t have to make promises to HIM.  HIS banner over us is love; we don’t have to earn His love.  We don’t have to try to please our God; HE pleased Himself by HIS SON and then joined us to JESUS and revealed that HE created us this way for HIS pleasure.  This grace, the union with our Father, is all through our LORD JESUS!

Hallelujah!

Your sister,

"Faith," A Finished Work, In Process

The Holy Ghost has been labouring intently, in our midst, earnestly contending for the “faith” which has been deposited in us.
[Jude 1:3]
“Faith” is so central to our being joined to His covenant Life that He declared; through His servant David: “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth (us):” and David concluded “Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever.” Amen?
[Ps 138:8]
The Lord; who is “the author and finisher of (our) faith,” was so determined to deliver us from our self destructive darkness that He “swore, by an oath” (to Himself) to make Jesus the guarantor of “a better testament.”
[Heb 12:2; 6:13; 7:22]
From the day of our creation (at the beginning), to the day of our redemption/salvation (at the end), “faith” is “working IN us” to separate/sanctify us from the bondage of the law ...for the “letter (of the law) killeth, but the Spirit (of Christ) gives life.”
[Phil 2:13; 2 Cor 3:6]
It is written: “He which hath begun a good work IN you will perform (process) it until the day of Jesus Christ:” So, let us prayerfully purpose to rest IN Him; as He works IN us (thru process, by “faith”) that which is pleasing in His sight.
[Phil 1:6]
ThenSingsMySoul:
 (WE) HAVE COME THIS FAR “BY FAITH,”
LEANING ON THE LORD;
TRUSTING IN HIS HOLY WORD,
HE'S NEVER FAILED (US) YET.

Jenelsie's Corner (#209)

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Our time of “celebration” seems to have come again quickly.  During this week-long acknowledgement of our Father’s faithfulness in providing for His ministry through this part of the Body of Christ, our song of worship is “We give ourselves away.”  HE has sent HIS WORD throughout the year to wash us, and teach us, and correct us, and establish us in the “doing of HIS WILL”—giving our ourselves away to be used to by HIM.  Our various experiences have been chosen to fulfill the very WORD which HE has sent, giving us “vision” for HIS “vision” concerning Grace and Truth Fellowship.

So let us gather to give thanksgiving to our Father for making us “one” with the SON in the “doing of HIS WILL”.  We celebrate our LORD!

Hallelujah!

The Ministry Of Faith

It is written: “As the rain ..and the snow from heaven cometh down, (and) watereth the earth ...that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void (without fruit), but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
[Isa 58:10-11]

Such is the “ministry of faith.” It is a perfect work, wrought by the Son (God's word). Consider: “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me (out of His mouth), and ...finish His work...” and: “I have glorified Thee on earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do.” [Jn 4:34; Jn 17:4]

Jesus also said, to the Father: “I have given unto them the words which Thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have (realized) surely that I came out from Thee, and ...that Thou didst send Me” [Jn 17:8]

Are you beginning to see the bigger picture of how salvation comes (or, is ministered) by the “hearing” of the sent “word” of faith?
[Rom 10:8-9; 17]

For whosoever shall call upon (Jesus) the name of the Lord (in faith) shall be saved”
[Rom 10:13]

ThenSingsMySoul:
MY FAITH HAS FOUND A RESTING PLACE,
NOT IN DEVICE OR CREED;
I TRUST THE EVER LIVING ONE,
HIS WOUNDS FOR ME SHALL PLEAD.
I NEED NO OTHER ARGUMENT, I NEED NO OTHER PLEA;
IT IS ENOUGH THAT JESUS DIED, AND THAT HE DIED FOR ME.

Behold, God Is (Our) Salvation

When you take into account Merriam-Webster's definition, and the definition of the 'church at large;' salvation is: “the saving of a person from sin, or (sin's) consequences; something that saves.” Kind of like nullifying the “sting” of death, or revoking the judgment of “guilt;” and it's inescapable sentence to the “lake of fire.”

The Hebrew/Aramatic and Greek New Testament dictionary renderings strike a more precise, and harmonious, note; describing “salvation” as: “deliverance, A DELIVERER, ie. God or Christ;” thus shifting the paradigm of “salvation” from someTHING to someONE.

That someONE was foreshadowed in Joshua's name; which means “Yeshua/Jesus IS SALVATION;” then declared definitively through the prophet Isaiah; and concluded by divine decree: “Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins” [cf Heb 4:8; Isa 12:2; Matt 1:21]

Xtra! Xtra! Salvation is A PERSON (pronoun), and not an act/action (verb), or someTHING.

If I might paraphrase a contemporary saying: “Know Jesus, Know Salvation; No Jesus, No Salvation.”

We are being “kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed (displayed openly) in the last time;” for the witness. [1 Pet 1:5] Selah.
ThenSingsMySoul:

BEHOLD, GOD IS MY SALVATION,
I WILL TRUST, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
BEHOLD, GOD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG,
AND HE HAS BECOME MY LORD!

Jenelsie's Corner (#208)

My Grace and Truth Family,

What a fellowship our Father God has given to us, the church—HE is with us!  Isn’t this a wonderful truth:  our Lord Jesus and the Father are one, and we (the church, the body of Christ) are one with the Lord; then we (the church) are one with the Father.  HE sealed the fellowship by sending HIS SPIRIT and filling the “body”, never to leave nor forsake us.  Great is His FAITHFULNESS!

Let’s give our praises and worship to our LORD and FATHER on this day that has been made for us.  Hallelujah!

Love in Christ Jesus,

When God Speaks

When God Speaks

Jesus said it: “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.” And, Peter got it right; when he declared of the Lord: “”Thou (alone) hast the words of eternal life.” [Matt 4:4 ; Jn 6:68(alone, implied)]
Imagine that, our very life and destiny is in the Lord's mouth.

When Mary spent time at Jesus' feet, listening attentively to His every word, she was commended to her sister Martha as having “chosen that good part.” [Lk 10:41-41]

Jesus further said His “sheep ...know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow.” [Jn 10: 4-5

Would that God would quicken our ears to hear; such that our reply to Him would always be: “Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth” [1 Sam 3:9]

When God speaks, His new creation listens.
ThenSingsMySoul:

WE NEED A WORD FROM YOU,
WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU;
IF WE DON'T HEAR FROM YOU
WHAT SHALL WE DO?

WANTING YOU MORE EACH DAY,
SHOW US YOUR PERFECT WAY,
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY
THAT WE CAN LIVE.
