Jenelsie's Corner (#188)

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

I’ve experienced several “selah” moments this week.  One in particular involved providing therapy to a 27 year-old young man who lived through being shot down in war while serving in the Marines.  He is now totally dependent upon others for his daily care, having suffered severe brain injury and the loss of movement in his limbs.  How our Lord moved me with such gratitude and compassion is beyond words of expression!  I look forward to “beholding His glory” as it is manifested through ministry to him.

Another “selah” highlight included hearing how our LORD would present us, His Church, to Himself—“holy and without blame”.  And what I heard is only that which HE gives us in part!  How wonderful and gracious our God and Father is to design such a plan for His church and to bring it to pass right in the “midst” of all that is happening around us from day to day.  On every hand, we who are IN Christ Jesus are blessed!  “Selah” again with me!  Hallelujah!

Jenelsie's Corner (#186)

My Grace and Truth Family,

My inspiration throughout this week has been to listen to, or “re-ear”, several of the messages and teachings our Lord has given in recent months.  In my hearing, I was amazed at how clear and relevant His WORD was to us.  I began to reflect upon the times when I was perplexed in a certain area, and the times when I doubted the Lord, and even when the Holy Ghost had me on target as I contemplated what He delivered.  The WORD was alive—quick like a two-edged sword and dividing asunder.  Confusing and natural ideas were released from the strongholds they held in my mind.  His WORD strengthened the “inner man”.

We can truly offer thanksgiving to ABBA for speaking to us in a way that “connects the dots” and reveals JESUS as the LORD in our various situations.  Praise the Lord!

The Inheritance Revealed

We have been reminded that God {our Abba, Father} has “predestined us unto the adoption (to Himself) by Jesus Christ” and sealed His choice by giving us “the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father;” becoming “joint heirs (of the kingdom of God) with Christ.”
[Eph 1:1-6; Rom 8: 15-17]

It is written [1 Cor 2:9-10a]: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit.”

We were told that Abba adopted us to be conformed to His image, and likeness; to be empowered, by Him, to exercise “dominion” over the works of His hand; for the witness to the nations that our God reigns.
[Gen 1:28; Ps 8:4-6]

We have been “chosen” to be “rich in faith;” that the glory of the Lord might be made manifest, that “men may see (our) good works, and glorify (our)(heavenly) Father.”
[Matt 5:16]

Jesus said: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” [Jn 12:32]

ThenSingsMySoul:

I SING FOR JOY AT THE WORK OF YOUR HAND:
FOREVER I'LL LOVE YOU, FOREVER I'LL STAND;
NOTHING COMPARES TO THE PROMISE I HAVE IN YOU.

Jenelsie's Corner (#185)

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

My sisters and brothers, I’m truly discovering the virtue of worshipping our Lord in the midst of a hectic schedule or in the midst of an overwhelming situation.  Even with cares and anxieties speaking loudly, the Holy Ghost provokes praise with the anticipation of His power and grace being manifested.  So you might ask, “How does your faith work ‘in the midst’?”  As He has taught us, with the lifting of our voices to adore our Lord in melody and words, faith is at work.  With the lifting of our hands and the presentation of our bodies when we are before Him in prayer, His faith is at work.  In our gathering unto Him at the appointed times to hear what He would speak and teach, faith is at work.

I give testimony to HIS greatness ‘in the midst’.  I am a witness of His lovingkindness ‘in the midst’.  Our LORD performs His Word:  HE is our inheritance ‘in the midst’!

Hallelujah!

Jenelsie's Corner (#184)

My Grace and Truth Family,

I pray that the grace and peace from our Father and Lord Jesus be multiplied to us.  May we know HIS strength to trust HIM to walk us according to His counsel, being persuaded of HIS foreknowledge in all things.  I pray that we would experience HIS WORD as a light to our path and a lamp for our feet.  May our eyes be singly focused on HIM while the Holy Spirit works in us that which is well-pleasing in HIS sight—our conformity and transformation into the image of JESUS CHRIST.  My prayer is that we would exalt our LORD and SAVIOR and yield to HIM as the ALPHA and OMEGA, the BEGINNING and END, to the praise and honor of HIS Name.  Amen.  Amen.

Which He Wrought In Christ

As the spotlight of the Spirit began to illuminate the significance of  the resurrection; I was smitten by the “power” of God's “workmanship ...wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead.” [Eph 2:10; 1:19]

Leaving no stone unturned, (CHRIST) PURCHASED (OUR) SALVATION ON CALVARY [Lk 23:33]

In the prophetic words of a song: HE WOULD NOT COME DOWN FROM THE CROSS JUST TO SAVE HIMSELF; HE DECIDED TO DIE JUST TO SAVE (US) ...saying: “No man takes My life from Me, I have the 'power' to lay it down, and I have 'power' to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father.”                                                 [Jn 10:18; cf Matt 27: 39-43]

It is undeniable that “(Abba) the Lord ...(made) His soul an offering for (our) sin;” and raised Christ up to be “the firstfruit of them who (will be raised from death).”
[Isa 53: 10; 1 Cor 15:20]

It is written: “as many as received Him, to them gave He 'power' to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” [Jn 1:12]

ThenSingsMySoul:

IF THAT SAME SPIRIT, THAT RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD, DWELLS IN YOU; DWELLS IN YOU. (repeat)
HE SHALL QUICKEN YOUR MORTAL BODY; IF THAT SPIRIT DWELLS IN YOU! (repeat)
 [Rom 8:11]

Jenelsie's Corner (#183)

Dear GTF Family,

All of the computers and necessary technology are up and running now so I could return to you.  Thank you for your indulgence of this brief rest.

In all this business about moving, I’m yet seeing the hand of our Lord.  Even down to the smallest details, HE makes Himself known, for His thanksgiving and praise are worthy at all times.  The Lord knows all things—the number of hairs on our heads and how to decorate a bedroom.  That which seems so trivial is just a manifestation of His care for us.  After all, HE does promise to supply our every need and to establish our thoughts and ways.  We are given the MIND of CHRIST JESUS so that our daily meditation is unto our FATHER.

I am learning more and more that this Salvation is a W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L Life.  This NEW LIFE comes with all the “bells and whistles” AND holiness, AND sanctification, AND purification, AND justification—the daily ongoing work of the HOLY GHOST within us for our conformity into the image of His first-begotten Son.

So why wouldn’t this moving experience also reveal His grace and glory?  “…that in all things HE might have the preeminence…”

Love you all,
Sister Jenelsie
