Jenelsie's Corner (#175)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Let me share with you a testimony so awesome about the care of our Father:

During work last week, I found myself calculating dates in my head (a seriously hard thing for me to do) which were necessary to complete documentation for my patients.  I did not have the usual gadgets at my fingertips to pull up the dates quickly and accurately.  So I just thought to myself that it would be so nice to have a simple calendar for 2010 in my purse.  I don’t remember entertaining the idea again, but our LORD remembered!

The next day one of my patients and I were waiting for the elevator when another elderly woman, whom I have never seen, walked up to me and extended her hand to give me something without even identifying what it was.  I looked at the folded book, and in amazement I saw that it was “the” calendar.  Immediately I knew the calendar was from the LORD—the One who knows the number of hairs on my head; the One who answers even before I call; the One who measured out the waters in the sea; the One who provides for the sparrow; the One who knew me before I was in my mother’s womb!  The Holy Ghost was at work to reveal the lovingkindness of the LORD JESUS.  HE magnified Himself in such an insignificant matter (so it would seem) that again HIS witness might be established in me.  Glory to HIS NAME!!!

Take comfort in knowing that we are our Father’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for the praise of HIS GLORY!!!

Jenelsie's Corner (#174)

Dear Grace and Truth,

Our God is so awesome!  As I was listening to the jingle on GTF’s radio, the Lord spoke these words to me:  “I’m not slack concerning any of my promises.  Is there anything too hard for me?”

How excited I was to hear those words coming from the FIRST and the LAST, the LORD of lords, the GREAT I AM!  The Spirit of the Lord unfolded the vision for Grace and Truth back in the 1990’s, and though the vision tarried, we (GTF) were strengthened to wait for it—to hope for it.  HE gave me hope that He will surely perform, even bring to past, those promises spoken to me which seem to be “hung up” somewhere.  Besides, it’s really not about me and my personal promises, but about HIM fulfilling HIS WORD to accomplish HIS purpose.  I will get the benefits, though.

So what do I do then?  I continue to bow before HIM in worship, in praise, in thanksgiving, and in adoration.  HE will show forth His FAITHFULNESS at the time it pleases HIM.

Let’s receive the fullness of His Joy while in His Presence today!  We can trust HIM!  Hallelujah!!

Love in Christ Jesus,

When You Are Converted

When You Are Converted

“Strengthen (your) brethren” [Lk 22:32]

This is the Lord's commandment to Peter, when He said to him; after the resurrection, “Feed my lambs, Feed my lambs, Feed my sheep;” which speaks to Abba's purpose to use us to  “exhort one another daily.”  [Jn 21: 15-17; Heb 3:13]

It is written that, after His ascension: “He gave some apostles, and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry,” and, if I might paraphrase the context, to shepherd the flock into His rest. [Eph 4:11-12; Heb 4:10]

Notice that all that we are commanded to do proceeds out of the “fruit” of our conversion; ie. the working/or causing of the Spirit of God in/thru His “new creature,” for the witness.       [2 Cor 5:17; Eze 36:27]

To be an effective witness, we must be “endued with power from on high,” aka “receive ye the Holy Ghost.”
[Lk 24:49; Jn 20:22]

Then, and only then, will we be enabled to “strengthen the brethren.”

“For this cause I bow my knee to the Father ...that you ...(would) be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.” [Eph 3:14,16]

ThenSingsMySoul:

YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF MY STRENGTH,
YOU ARE THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE;
I LIFT MY HANDS IN TOTAL PRAISE TO YOU!

Dear Grace and Truth,

In this New Year, our Lord has us “positioned” to cry to Him and to hear His voice; to look to Him, the Lord Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith.  We are in “place” to give Him our worship with our knees bowing and our tongue confessing HIS LORDSHIP.  HE has made us ready to receive the next portion of His will and purpose in us to the glory of His Name.  Our thirst and hunger can only be satisfied by HIM.  We do not give ourselves over to making resolutions but in being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

So here is a different salutation:  blessings from our Father in the knowledge of the Son as we enter into a New Year!

Jenelsie's Corner (#172)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Greetings in the name of our Lord!  We have been preserved and provided for throughout the year of 2009.  The Word of the Lord has been rich as He has taken us step by step from faith to faith, glory to glory.  We all have testimony of the Holy Ghost decreasing the “me” in so many areas so HE would increase.  In 2009 He has caused and is causing all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.  Our God has been faithful in bringing forth His witness through His people that Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords and the King of kings.  We can praise Him with thanksgiving for 2009.

Now unto HIM in 2010 who is able to keep us from falling…

Love,
