Jenelsie's Corner (#167)

Dear Grace and Truth,

Well, this first set of holidays has passed us, and we can relax from all the “work” that has been involved.  For some of us there was a break from our “routine” of prayer and fellowship with the Lord, as we would describe it.  Returning to that “place” is usually also a “work” that can take us right up to the next holiday.

Be reminded, however, that our Lord has supplied His remedy through His words of teaching for dealing with our “work.”  The Holy Ghost is a “quickening spirit” which causes us to respond to HIM with thanksgiving and praise, giving worship right in the “midst” of a situation.  Sometimes HE leads us to another room, down another aisle in the store, or even to the bathroom just to be exalted in our minds.  As HE has spoken, the very WORD of GOD is “quickened” and “powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit…and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  So whatever the “battle” is, HE has already declared that it’s not ours but HIS.  Our situation does not limit nor change Him.

Receive the encouragement to “rest” in HIM and “cease from our own works” during the remainder of this holiday season.  Our Lord Jesus and Savior is the FAITHFUL ONE, AND AS WE BOLDLY GO TO THE THRONE OF GRACE, WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY AND FIND HIS GRACE TO STRENGTHEN US IN THE TIME OF NEED.

Hallelujah!

Believing Is Seeing

GTF Elder C. Edward Smith

Here's another sermon note: The “way” of the Lord is to send (speak) a “prophetic vision” (for us to “rest” in) before the promised victory, that is to follow after.

There is a pattern, from the garden of Eden to the garden of Gethsemane, that “the word of the Lord (of death, and life after death) is tried,” and proven. [Ps 18:30]

From “thou shalt surely die” to “Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin ...He (the Son) shall live again [TLB] and God's program shall prosper in His (Son's) hands,” the Lord never ceases from speaking His purpose, “from before the foundation of the world.”
[Gen 2:17; Jn 10:17-18, cf. Isa 53:10]

The lesson that must continually be learned is “though (the word spoken) tarry (we must rest in, and) wait for it (in faith); because (the word prophesied) will surely come (to pass).“ And we shall SEE Jesus, “if we hold fast the profession of our faith” (in Him) until the end; judging Him “faithful who (has) promised;” saying: “Ye believe in God, believe also in Me.”

[Hab 2:3; Heb 10:23; Jn 14:1]

ThenSingsMySoul:

MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY OF THE COMING OF THE LORD.
HE IS TRAMPLING OUT THE VINTAGE WHERE THE GRAPES OF WRATH ARE STORED.
HE HAS LOOSED THE FATEFUL LIGHTNING OF HIS TERRIBLE SWIFT SWORD;
HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON!!!

Jenelsie's Corner (#166)

Dear Grace and Truth,

The depth of understanding our Lord is imparting to us is a wonderful blessing to be treasured.  HE has given the way—in all our getting, get an understanding of ‘who’ the Lord Jesus is and ‘what’ He has done in us, the church.  In the beginning the plan was made that the church, or the people of God, would receive clarity about our new life in His kingdom as we convene and present ourselves as the “called out ones.”  Pastors have been provided by our Father to feed His sheep and give the understanding according to the truth of His Word which must be revealed to us.

So He tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves and to give ready ear for ‘hearing’ to get an understanding.  Mind you, ‘hearing’ is not to gain knowledge for puffing us up, as were the Pharisees, but for ‘living’ in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Our time away from the gathering unto our Lord and Father, then, actually hinders us from getting the necessary understanding for ‘living’ unto Him.

Be encouraged to yield to the call to come together at the appointed time for this congregation.  Our Lord will strengthen you to do so.  Commit His (this) desire for you back to Him in prayer and watch Him bring it to past.

Hallelujah to our God and King!

Stand Ye Still & SEE

GTF Elder C. Edward Smith
Sunday, November 15th, 2009

For the record, allow me to paraphrase a significant outline point, to our ongoing teaching on “Seeing IS Believing:”  (Jesus) The “Word” Was Sent (“made flesh”) For (our) Vision.

The Apostle John wrote (by the Spirit of God) that “we beheld  His glory (we SAW Him with our eyes), (even) the glory as of the only begotten of the Father” [Jn 1:14; 1 Jn 1:1]

When the Lord said, thru the Psalmist, “Be still and know that I AM God;”  He was reaffirming the paradigm by which His people would perceive, SEE, and know their God … by waiting and watching for His “word,” spoken, to come to pass.
[Ps 46:10]

It is written:“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” If Abba had not sent His Son (the “word”), “in the fulness of time” (to redeem us), then we would have been UNABLE TO SEE or receive His great “gift” of salvation (life).
[Prov 29:18; Gal 4:4; 2 Cor 9:15]

Jesus told Thomas: “Because you have seen me, you have believed: BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HAVE NOT SEEN, AND YET BELIEVED.”
[Jn 20:29]

ThenSingsMySoul:

I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVETH,
AND HE SHALL STAND AT THE LATTER DAY UPON THE EARTH:
AND THOUGH AFTER MY SKIN WORMS DESTROY THIS BODY,
YET IN MY FLESH SHALL I SEE GOD!
[Job 19:25-26]

But We See Jesus

Saturday, November 7th, 2009
GTF Elder C. Edward Smith

As the Spirit labours, so patiently, with us to open our eyes of “faith;” the “light”(“word”) of revelation is beginning to illuminate our path, as a lamp unto our feet.

We were reminded that, “in the time of trouble,” God's people turned their eyes toward the Lord, and prayed;
And Abba's response was: “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude (enmity); for the battle is not your's, but God's.” [2 Chr 20:5-12, 15]

The prophet Elisha's servant, Gehazi, had a blind side (when it came to trusting in the “word” of the Lord; that there was “more on Elisha's side, than the enemies' side”) until Elisha prayed that the Lord would “open his eyes.” That was when Gehazi saw “the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about.” [2 Ki 6:15-17]

Faith has eyes.

It is written: “(God) has put all things under (Christ's) feet,” “That in all things (The Lord Jesus Christ) might have preeminence.” [Heb 2:8a; Col 1:18]

“But (though) we (do) not yet SEE all things under (Christ's feet)...WE SEE JESUS ...crowned with glory and honor!” “And He shall reign for ever, and ever!”            [Heb 2:8c-9; Rev 11:15]

ThenSingsMySoul:

O LORD, OUR EYES ARE ON YOU,
BE MAGNIFIED,
O LORD, BE MAGNIFIED!

Jenelsie's Corner (#165)

My Grace and Truth Family,

When our Lord sent His Word on last Sunday, a stronghold in my mind was pulled down.  My ears were opened to hear HIM speak, “Don’t ask for an increase in horses…more arrows…as a remedy or an answer to your current circumstance.”  My dependence on the ‘natural’ is so subtle that the WORD, which is quick and powerful to the division of even my thoughts, must illuminate where the ‘natural’ has dominated my thinking.  The Holy Ghost brought me to repentance and then to cry out to Him in my “fight to believe” that ‘deliverance’ is “not by my power, nor by my might, but by His Spirit.”

The Lord set me free so that His strength might be received to learn to trust Him with this particular problem.  The Lord works wonderfully in us to be His witness that whom HE sets free is free indeed.

So I join you all again that we might have one voice in shouting our thanksgiving to our Father for a new and different LIFE in CHRIST JESUS.  Hallelujah!!

Blessings,

Seeing IS Believing

Seeing IS Believing
GTF Elder C. Edward Smith
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Here are some “apples of gold” excerpted from the “word” spoken in the midst of our Celebration Cruise; for your edification.

The Lord saves His people BY A “WORD.” [Ps 107:20]

Part of the reality of being a Christian is the ability to see (or perceive clearly) the unseen (ie. things that are not as though they are) [Rom 4:17]

Our tendency (in this body of flesh) is to pray more about the things that we see, than what Abba has said.

There is a standard equipping (by the Holy Ghost) IN the believer that enables us to discern and operate in an invisible sphere; as Abba speaks those invisible things to us in the midst of, and over against the enmity; as Moses “forsook Egypt and endured affliction, as seeing Him who is invisible.” [Heb 11:24-27]

Abba is so ordering our steps; as we face uncertain days, in this untoward world, that we will no longer look to thearm of flesh;” but our eyes will be laser focused on thewordspoken THRU (or out from) the flesh.

ThenSingsMySoul:

OPEN OUR EYES, LORD
WE WANT TO SEE JESUS;
TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH HIM,
AND TELL HIM WE LOVE HIM!
[Jn 12:21]
