Not Just Idle Words...

Not just idle words ...but powerful, relevant Truth.

Not a disembodied spirit ...but “flesh and bone” [Lk 24:39]

And we (who believe) are (now) “bone of His bone, and flesh of His flesh” as was prophesied (of us) in the garden of Eden [Gen 2:23]

Not just a rumor/fable or fairytale ...but a “sure” testimony; “making wise the simple” [Ps 19:7(b)]

For “We have this treasure (His Spirit) IN earthen vessels (of “dust & ashes” Gen 18:27), that the excellency of the power (of the resurrection) may be of God (who raiseth the dead), and not of us” [2 Cor 4:7]

The Spirit of the Lord is giving us to know that Abba has a “purpose” in depositing (in us) the “earnest” portion of His Life; that we might be 'enabled' to “walk in (the) newness of His Life, ” in 'the face of death;' and be witnesses of the reality of (resurrection) Life, after death.

The “Word” of the Lord said “We (Christians-the “body of Christ”) should be able to 'articulate' (ie. Show & tell) “the greatness of His power to usward, who believe” [Eph 1:19] ...and declare that “The kingdom of God is at hand: so "REPENT ye, AND BELIEVE the gospel.” [Mk 1:15]

We were reminded (as we partook of the Lord's table) that His death satisfied the Father [Isa 53:10]...and His resurrection gave us access into “the holy of holies” when the veil was “rent” [Matt 27:51] “For HE IS OUR PEACE WHO HAS BROKEN DOWN EV'RY WALL (partition, veil) between us” (and Abba) [Eph 2:14] by “the blood of the Lamb.”

The Hymn writer wrote: THERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD, DRAWN FROM EMMANUEL'S VEINS. AND SINNERS PLUNGED BENEATH THAT FLOOD LOSE ALL THEIR GUILTY STAINS.

ThenSingsMySoul:
DRAW ME NEARER, NEARER BLESSED LORD, TO THE PLACE WHERE THOU HAST DIED. DRAW ME NEARER, NEARER BLESSED LORD; TO THY PRECIOUS BLEEDING SIDE

“Then saith (Jesus) to him, “Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and BE NOT FAITHLESS, but believing.” v.28 And Thomas ...said unto Him, “My Lord and my God!” v.29 Jesus (said) unto him, “Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HAVE NOT SEEN, AND YET BELIEVED.” [Jn 20:27]

“I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I AM ALIVE FOR EVERMORE”
[Rev 1:18]
